Common questions

Honest answers to the questions founders ask before getting started.

Do I need to understand code to work with you?

Not at all. We explain every decision in plain English. If you don't understand why something was built a certain way, we didn't explain it clearly enough, and that's on us.

How do you keep me in the loop during the project?

Every Friday you get a short Loom video (usually 5 minutes) showing what was built that week and what's happening next. You also get access to a shared Notion board updated in real time, and you can message us any time.

What happens if I want to change something mid-project?

It depends on the size of the change. Small adjustments are absorbed with no conversation. Large scope changes get documented and priced separately before they're started, no surprises.

Who owns the code when we're done?

You do. 100%, from day one. The code repository, the hosting, every credential, it all transfers to you at the end of the project. We have no ongoing access unless you explicitly invite us.

What if I need to change developers after the project?

We document the codebase specifically so this is easy. Any competent developer should be able to pick it up. We also offer a 30-day post-launch support period included in every project.

How accurate are your timelines?

We've delivered every project on the timeline we quoted. We do this by writing a detailed spec before work starts, so we know exactly what we're building before the clock starts. 'Scope creep' is prevented at the spec stage, not discovered during build.

Do you take on small projects?

Yes, we take on small projects. Not every build needs to be a full product. If you need a specific feature, a quick integration, or a focused piece of work, we're happy to scope it out and get it done.

Do you work with funded startups or bootstrapped founders?

Both. Our typical client is a bootstrapped or pre-seed founder building their first or second product. We also work with funded teams who need a senior technical partner for a specific build.

Can you help me figure out if my idea is technically feasible?

Yes. Book a free 30-minute call and we'll give you an honest answer. If it's not feasible in your budget or timeline, we'll tell you, along with what a more realistic version would look like.

Do you do ongoing maintenance after launch?

Every project includes 30 days of post-launch support. After that, we offer retainer arrangements for ongoing development, maintenance, and feature additions.
